Sales agents: commission-only, Western Australia
Fortitude Essentials™ designs and builds the Mobile Access Facility™ (MAF™), a road-transportable accessible accommodation unit, and the Essential Access Pods, relocatable adult change rooms designed for Changing Places accreditation. We are appointing independent sales agents in Western Australia to introduce our products to the organisations they already work with. The role is commission only, through your own business, on your own terms.
Who it suits
- A company, trust or partnership with an ABN. We do not appoint individuals or sole traders.
- An existing business that already serves aged care providers, disability support providers, caravan and holiday parks, local government supply, community facilities, venues or event organisers in Western Australia, and wants to add our products to what it offers.
- A business that is comfortable introducing and stepping back: you open the door and register the lead; Fortitude Essentials quotes, contracts, builds, delivers and services.
- A business that will work for others as well. Appointment is non-exclusive both ways. You keep your other clients and products, as long as they do not compete with ours in accessible transportable accommodation or accessible facility products, and you tell us before you take on a business that sells to the same customer groups.
- Someone who will work the way they choose: no set hours, no rosters, no call or sales targets, no activity reports, no performance reviews. You use your own vehicle, phone, computer and tools and pay your own costs.
- A business that may delegate. You may have your own staff or subcontractors perform the role, on written notice to us, provided each person has signed the short personal undertaking that covers conduct, privacy and confidentiality.
It does not suit support coordinators, plan managers, local area coordinators, occupational therapists or anyone else who advises people on their choice of provider or product. We do not pay commission, referral fees or any other benefit to anyone in that position, and our agents may not either.
What Fortitude Essentials provides
- The Approved Claims Sheet: the plain statements you may make about our products, prices and process, so that what you say is accurate and protected. It controls what is said about the products, as the Australian Consumer Law requires of anyone who sells them. It does not control when, where, how or how much you work.
- Product information and images you may use, product training on request, and unit viewings by arrangement.
- A registered-lead system. You register each prospect by email before approaching them in depth. We confirm within two business days whether the lead is open. An open lead is protected for 90 days, extended each time you show documented activity with that prospect.
- A written quote within one business day of receiving the details we need, sent by us to your lead.
- Commission as a percentage of business that is signed with us and paid in cleared funds, calculated on the net price actually received. Commission is earned when the customer’s payment clears, reported to you monthly, and paid within 14 days of your tax invoice. The rates are set out in the agreement. There is no retainer, draw, salary or expense reimbursement; commission is the only payment.
- A 12-month tail: if the appointment ends (other than for cause), you are still paid on a protected lead that signs within the following 12 months.
What the agent does
- Identifies prospects in Western Australia and presents our products using only the Approved Claims Sheet and the material we supply.
- Registers each lead, introduces the prospect to us, and arranges for us to quote. Helps the prospect and Fortitude Essentials reach agreement, for example by arranging a site visit or a viewing.
- Passes any question not answered by the approved material to us with the words “I will get that confirmed in writing by Fortitude Essentials”.
Things the agent never does: vary a price, lead time, delivery or payment term; give technical specifications, dimensions, rated loads or compliance statements beyond the approved lines; make any claim about NDIS registration or funding, any approval, accreditation or certification, or any health benefit; sign anything for us; take or hold a customer’s money; or offer a discount, gift or inducement. Every quote, contract and invoice comes from Fortitude Essentials. We work with individuals who may receive NDIS funding; what may be said about that is one approved sentence, and the agent says nothing more.
What it is not
- Not employment. The agent is an independent contractor through its own entity. There is no salary, no leave, and no promise of any level of income. Commission depends entirely on business that signs and pays.
- No retainer. Nothing is paid for time, activity or effort.
- No exclusivity either way. We may appoint other agents, sell direct and run our own marketing. You may act for other non-competing businesses.
- Not a licence of our designs. Design licensing of the MAF™ is handled by Fortitude Essentials directly under a non-disclosure agreement; an agent may introduce a licensing enquirer and nothing more.
The agreement in brief
The Independent Sales Agent Agreement is a 12-month, renewing, non-exclusive appointment for Western Australia. It covers lead registration and the 90-day protection period, how and when commission is earned and paid, clawback where a customer is refunded, the 12-month tail, approved claims only, no referral payments in the disability sector, privacy, confidentiality (you sign our mutual non-disclosure agreement at the same time), your own insurance, and 30 days’ notice to end it either way. You read the whole agreement before anything is signed, and you may take your own advice on it.
Apply
Tell us about your business. We read every application.
What happens next
We read every application and reply within one business day. If it fits, our managing director sends you the agreement pack to read: the Independent Sales Agent Agreement, the personal undertaking for the person who will perform the role, and the current Approved Claims Sheet. You read it, ask us anything, and take your own advice if you wish. Nothing is signed on the website, and nothing is binding on either side until both of us have signed the agreement and the mutual non-disclosure agreement.
