Accessible unit hire: Mobile Access Facility with awning deployed, side view

Hire or lease a unit

Hire the MAF™ for a season, an event or a placement at a home, or lease it for 12, 24 or 36 months if you are an organisation, with delivery, set up and pack down included.

For homes, caravan parks, event organisers, disability and aged care providers, health services and government. Quoted per site; we reply within one business day.

Accessible unit hire at your site

The Mobile Access Facility™ (MAF™) is a self-contained accessible unit on a road-transportable trailer. Fortitude Essentials™ delivers it to your site, levels and connects it, and packs it down when the hire ends. Your guests get a bathroom, bedroom and living space built around physical access needs, without you building anything.

Two ways in: a powered platform lift at the side door, and steps at the rear.

The unit is unstaffed and self-contained. It is designed for guests who can use it independently or with a carer they arrange.

Where a hired or leased unit is used

At home

An accessible bathroom and bedroom in the driveway or garden for up to three months, while a bathroom is renovated, after a hospital stay, or so an older person or a person living with disability can stay close to family. For longer at a home, buying a unit is the option. How long a unit can be lived in on a residential property depends on your local council; we check this with you as part of the site check.

A caravan park season

Add an accessible unit to your park for the season. We deliver it to the site, connect it to your services and pack it down when the season ends. Guests book a purpose-built accessible unit rather than adapting a standard cabin.

An event weekend

Accessible accommodation or an accessible amenities base at a festival, sporting event or regional show. Set up before the gates open, packed down after the last guest leaves.

A respite placement with a provider

A self-contained accessible unit placed at a provider’s site for a respite or short-stay placement, for a guest who can use it independently or with a carer they arrange.

How it works

1

Enquiry

Tell us the site, the dates or period, and what the unit is for. We reply within one business day.

2

Site check

We check access for the trailer, the ground the unit will sit on, and the water, power and waste connections available at the site.

3

Delivery and setup

Fortitude Essentials™ delivers the unit, levels it, connects the services and hands over with a walkthrough of the lift, the doors and the bathroom.

4

Pack-down

At the end of the hire we disconnect the services, pack the unit down and remove it. Nothing is left on site.

Lease it for 12, 24 or 36 months (organisations)

A lease is a hire with a fixed term and a known monthly figure, which is how providers, parks and government budget. Leases are offered to organisations; a placement at a home is a hire of up to three months. Delivery and set-up are charged once at the start. Every lease is quoted per site.

TermWho it suitsThe monthly fee includesAt the end

24 monthsProviders with a standing respite or overflow needAs aboveReturn, extend, or buy with part of your lease credited
36 monthsParks and government adding permanent accessible capacityAs above, plus one relocationBuy with a larger credit, or return

If you buy the unit at the end of the lease, part of what you have paid is credited against the purchase price, up to a cap set out in your quote and lease agreement. Insurance of the unit, and your responsibilities for damage and any excess, are set out in the hire or lease agreement you sign.

What is included

  • Delivery, levelling and connection to your site services
  • The MAF™ with its standard inclusions: powered platform lift, roll-in shower with a fold-down seat and rails, accessible toilet, profiling bed, climate control, on-demand hot water, fridge-freezer, microwave and television
  • Handover walkthrough
  • Pack-down and removal at the end of the hire

Hire and lease are quoted per site. The quote covers the period or term, delivery distance, site services and any options you choose. No rate card is published.

What you pay up front

  • A delivery and set-up fee, charged once, covering delivery, levelling, connection and pack-down within Western Australia.
  • The first hire period in advance (monthly for leases).
  • A refundable bond equal to one month’s hire fee (or the whole hire fee for a hire shorter than a month), paid by bank transfer or PayTo before delivery and returned within 14 days of pack-down, less only the itemised cost of any damage beyond fair wear and tear, missing items or extra cleaning.

Amounts are quoted ex GST with GST shown separately, and your quote states the total including GST. No card surcharges. If you buy a unit within 60 days after your hire ends, the hire fee (not delivery and set-up or the bond) is credited against the purchase price.

Fortitude Essentials™ provides accommodation and infrastructure only. We do not provide care, nursing or supervision, and we do not make medical claims.

Engineered to a proprietary access standard that exceeds minimum regulatory requirements. Purpose-built for the Australian regulatory environment. Compliance documentation available on request.

For caravan parks

About one in five Australians lives with disability, and they rarely travel alone. A park without a wheelchair accessible option loses the whole group, not one guest. Building an accessible cabin means capital, approvals and a long wait. The MAF™ is towed onto a powered site and set up in a day, with nothing built.

What the park gets

  • An accessible option to list on your own website and booking channels, all year
  • The people who travel with that guest: family and group bookings on your standard sites and cabins
  • Off-season demand from retirees, respite stays and people who travel outside school holidays
  • No capital and no building work. We deliver, set up, service and pack down

Three ways a park can have one

  • Host it. We place the unit on one of your sites, list it and manage the bookings. You receive your site fee for every night booked, plus the guest’s spend in the park. We keep the booking income. No cost to the park.
  • Lease it. You pay a seasonal hire or a 12, 24 or 36 month lease, list the unit as your own accessible cabin and keep the booking income. Your quote shows the nights needed to cover it.
  • Buy it. From $196,900 AUD including GST ($179,000 AUD ex GST), delivered and commissioned, the unit becomes your asset. See buying a unit.

Ask us for a hosted-site proposal or a hire quote for your park through the hire quote form.
